Pricing & ongoing costs

How much does a contractor website cost?

Evergreen’s Standard website is $2,000 for up to six pages, Growth is $3,500 for up to 12, and Premium is $5,000 for up to 20. Original copywriting is included in every package. The right scope depends on the services you offer and the locations you need to explain. A contractor with several distinct services may need more dedicated pages than a business with a smaller service offering.

Does website design include hosting and maintenance?

The website build and monthly management are separate charges. Hosting and management is $75 per month for Standard and Growth or $100 per month for Premium. All three are month to month and include up to two hours of minor edits monthly. New pages and larger changes are quoted separately. You own your website and domain; transfers follow the platform and account process.

How long does it take to build a contractor website?

Most Evergreen website builds take about two to four weeks, depending on scope and communication speed. Having your service information, coverage, and usable photos ready helps the project move forward. Time for your review and revisions is part of the process. We agree on the scope and discuss the schedule before starting.

DIY, designers & website builders

Should I build my own contractor website or hire someone?

Building a website is more accessible than it used to be, and DIY can work when you have the time and knowledge to plan, write, build, and maintain it. Hiring a professional makes sense when you want help with the whole process. In DIY sites we have rebuilt, gaps often include keyword research, page titles, descriptions, and content that matches what customers are actually looking for.

How do I choose a website designer for my contracting business?

Ask how they will learn about your services, who writes the copy, what the price includes, and who owns the website. Review their examples and ask about mobile layouts, inquiries, revisions, hosting, and support. A useful proposal should explain which pages your business needs and why. A long list of features means little if the finished site does not clearly explain your work.

What is the best website builder for contractors?

The right builder depends on your needs and who will maintain the website. Evergreen uses Duda because we value its hosting reliability, organized reporting, and the tools it gives us for building and managing client sites. The platform is only part of the decision. Service information, original copy, usable photos, and clear contact paths still need careful planning.

Can AI build a contractor website?

AI can help create layouts and draft wording, but it does not know the facts about your company unless you supply them. Your services, project details, coverage, and customer expectations still need human input and review. A generated site also needs working contact paths and appropriate search setup. We use your business knowledge to make the finished content accurate and relevant.

Can you build a contractor website for free?

Some tools let you begin building without an upfront payment, but check what is included before choosing one. Your own domain, hosting, additional features, and the time you spend creating and maintaining the website all matter. Compare the complete scope with what your business needs. Getting a page online and building a useful business website are different amounts of work.

Should a contractor use a template or a custom website?

A starting design can help you choose a direction, but the finished website should reflect your company. Evergreen adapts branding, services, photos, coverage, and original copy to the business. Focus on whether the layout makes your work easy to understand and your contact information easy to find. You can choose a design direction and then select the package that fits your page requirements.

Services, search visibility & inquiries

Does a contractor need a website?

A website gives prospective customers a place to check your services, see relevant work, understand your coverage, and contact you. It can also support people who hear about you through referrals and want to learn more before calling. The useful question is what customers need to know to choose your business. Your website should make those answers easy to find.

Does every contractor service need its own page?

Distinct services often benefit from dedicated pages when there is enough useful information to explain them properly. We ask about the work, common problems, what customers should expect, and what affects an estimate. Relevant project photos and reviews support the explanation. Closely related services can stay together when separate pages would repeat the same information.

Why isn’t my contractor website getting calls?

Start by checking whether the site attracts relevant visitors and gives them enough information to take the next step. We often see one services page that is little more than a long list. Clear service explanations, relevant proof, practical coverage information, and easy inquiries can help address that gap. For search visibility, we use the four legs of the SEO chair: technical SEO, backlinks, topical authority, and good, helpful content.

What should a contractor put on a service area page?

Explain where you actually work and provide useful context for customers in that area. Local project breakdowns are especially helpful when you can explain what happened, what your crew did, and why. Use genuine photos and confirmed facts. A service area page should give the visitor something more useful than the same wording with a different city name.

What information should a contractor inquiry form collect?

Ask for contact details and the information your team needs to begin the conversation, such as the service, project location, approximate scope, and timing. Keep it manageable for the customer. Evergreen also offers a separate $25 per month add-on that texts submission details to the contractor. Seeing those details can help the owner recognize spam faster; it does not automatically filter submissions.
