How Long Does It Take to Build a Contractor Website?

A contractor website usually takes about two to four weeks to build with Evergreen Web Solutions. The schedule depends on the scope, how quickly we receive your business information and photos, and the time needed for feedback and approvals.

Contractor Website FAQ

Start with a clear scope.

Before building, we discuss your services, where you work, and what customers need to know. That helps us decide which pages belong on the website and which package fits the work.

A focused six-page website involves less content than a twenty-page site covering multiple services, locations, and detailed project showcases. We discuss the schedule for your actual scope before starting. The two-to-four-week estimate is a typical timeframe, rather than a fixed deadline for every project.

Your information gives us a starting point.

You do not need to write the finished website copy. Original copywriting is included in every Evergreen package. We need accurate information about your company, services, coverage, and the work you want to attract.

Usable project photos, relevant reviews, and details about completed jobs help us write specific content. For project showcases, tell us what happened, what your crew handled, and why the approach mattered. If material is missing, we discuss what is needed rather than inventing details.

Review the direction before the full build.

Start with a free website preview so you can react to the proposed direction. Once the scope is agreed, we develop the pages, organize the content, and build clear contact paths for your customers.

Giving clear feedback on the direction early helps avoid larger changes later. Share what you like, what does not fit your company, and any service details that need correcting. A few specific notes are more useful than guessing what the other person means.

Feedback speed affects the schedule.

The project needs your input as well as our build time. Prompt, consolidated feedback helps keep it moving. If approvals or materials take longer, the launch date may need to move too.

Standard includes two revision rounds. Growth and Premium include three. Use those reviews to check the business facts, photos, services, and contact information, as well as the look of the website. New requests outside the agreed scope may change the price or schedule.

Launch needs a final check.

Before launch, we review the finished content and check the contact paths. Domain setup and access also need to be ready. Let us know where your domain is registered and whether there is an existing website to replace.

If you have a specific deadline, tell us before the project begins. We can discuss whether the scope and available materials make it realistic. A complete review is part of getting the website ready for customers.

A live website is the start of the next stage.

Launching in two to four weeks is different from establishing search visibility or generating a predictable number of inquiries. The build includes foundational SEO, analytics, and Search Console setup. Ongoing SEO is a separate service.
